My son Ben and I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal at a soft opening for the Tavern recently.
If you know with “The Back Nine” in downtown Lakeland, owned by the Smith family, you will know exactly where to find Smith’s American Tavern - it’s the same location!
When you enter you will notice that the restaurant layout has been reconfigured, the branding has been completely updated, new delicious items have been added to the menu, and, if you are a golf lover, the simulators remain in the rear of the building.
We started with the Cuban egg rolls, then Ben enjoyed the “Adult Mac & Cheese” that was smothered in rib eye - wow! I loved tucking into the loaded nachos and devoured the whole plate, myself!
We had a lovely night together. The atmosphere was energizing and we actually saw a lot of our local friends supporting this small business too!
